Counselling with Labyrinth Therapies
I have now been training in the field of counselling for four years and am about to complete the level that i am currently on. The next level that i will be taking will allow me membership and accreditiation with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
Within my training i have primarily been studying with an intergrative approach. This means that rather than focussing on one of the three primary fields of counselling (Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural and Psychodynamic) i have studied all three of these fields and some of their "off branches". However within my practice i focus more on the humanistic and cognitive behaviorual aspects.
It is important as a cleint that you look into which field of counselling may be most suited to you. Also dont be afraid to try out some of the different areas to find out which style of counselling suits you best. As counsellors we are here for you.

BACP Definition of counselling:
Counselling takes place when a counsellor sees a client in a private and confidential setting to explore a difficulty the client is having, distress they may be experiencing or perhaps their dissatisfaction with life, or loss of a sense of direction and purpose.
