Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)


EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) aim to re-establish the balance between mind, body and feelings, to reach a level of harmony that is unaffected by negative emotions.

Even though as human beings we are "designed" to recover from unpleasent experiences or negative thought patterns, we can still be affected by events such as trauma, loss or relationships. It is not just the past that can continue to affect us either, ongoing events which are stressful or cause depressions or anxieties can affect us with our daily lives.

EFT works through tapping on certain meridian points on the body to help disperse these negative influences and provide an effective coping strategy to help stop them returning.


EFT was founded by Gary Craig who carried on the work begun by Dr Roger Callahan who developed TFT (Thought Field Therapy)
